Congrats to Adam and the gang who work their butts off in a Burbank studio each week to bring the fans the increasingly popular and record breaking, Adam Carolla Podcast. iTunes recently bestowed their Best Of 2009 #1 Podcast Award on Adam and he’s taking it as a sign to EXPAND.
You’ve gotta admire the Ace man, who was fired in February from CBS Radio and started the podcast from his house two days later, for growing his online audience into an empire. In January Adam will launch ACE Network, the Adam Carolla Entertainment Network. Which will also include other podcast programs like “Mommies & Martinis” featuring his wife Lynette and co-host Teresa Strasser, a home improvement podcast hosted by Adam, his growing “Carcast”, and many more of your favorite personalities.
We listen to his podcast every day while we blog, and not just because we’re occasionally on it, although we’re sure it factored into ITunes final decision process. We listen even if it’s some straight guy from the UFC we can barely understand, because it doesn’t matter who Adam has on he can still make any topic hysterically relatable.
TV personalities, news makers, and comedians alike have all watched Adam’s shot to success over the past eight months (yes only eight!), and are ditching waiting for their phones to ring with offers. In this town you gotta make stuff happen on your own.
