“You think about the numbers of days we shot on that movie – 77 days – everything going well. What’s being focused on is four minutes where I behaved bad. I didn’t want that to overshadow the hard work of everybody on the crew, in every aspect. So I felt like I had to say something.”
But he admits he does appreciate people like director McG and Michael Caine who spoke in his defence as the taped tirade hit the headlines.
He adds, “I very much appreciate the people who did say that… It still doesn’t excuse it, but I do appreciate it.”
A: Don’t apologize Christian, some of us thought your ballistic anger was kind of a turn on. That and your dancing and singing in the Disney movie, Newsies, pre Batman. That made me want to touch myself too.

A:Jenny, Christian Bale’s mother had a lot to say about her son’s ticking temper, which we now only call “Going Christian Bale-listic!, but she does have a good defense.
“I haven’t spoken to Christian about it, but I have listened to most of it and he was clearly very angry. People might now realise that that is his temper, and they might understand a bit more.
“I wish he hadn’t carried this on so long or so fiercely, it was upsetting to hear him.
“He is a perfectionist and if you are doing an intense scene and someone is spoiling a shot, it takes time to get it back.
“It sounds as if a lighting engineer got in the shot so I can understand his anger but not the length of the tirade.”
Didn’t Christian hit on you and his sister, and then we all didn’t talk about it because the charges were dropped or something..? No? We’re still not talking about it and linking it to this story?

Jenny his mother, only had vague comments which means they probably want to sue, but she admitted she DID NOT call police to the scene.
Jenny said: “Yes I was there and yes there was a family situation but the police are handling it and I cannot say anymore at the moment. We didn’t call the police to the scene. I can’t say anymore but we didn’t call the police”.
Christian Bale has left the police station on bail and his people have released this statement to the panicking public:
Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale.

There’s a dark side to Christan Bale, and it came out Sunday night at Park Lanes Dorchester Hotel where he was staying. His mom Jenny 61, and sister Sharon 40, both went to the police yesterday and filed an assault charge on the Batman.
But the details of what happened are still developing. The cops are playing this one close to the vest, even waiting until after the Dark Knight premiere to take Bale
into custody.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment.
He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody.
Something tells us Christian’s going to settle out of court, we can’t have the Batman hitting women..he doesn’t even kill the Joker.
“I would love to be right here with him. And I thought I would be,” Bale added.
That was the most poignant tribute any of the stars said about Heath Ledger, because every actor was asked the same question during the NYC premiere of the most anticipated movie of the summer.
Heath Ledgers family were also in attendance- his father Kim, sister Kate and mother Sally Bell and stepmother Ines – all attended the New York opening along with his long-time ex-girlfriend actress Naomi Watts. The family couldn’t speak after the film, exiting briskly they gave the paps a thumbs up when asked about his performance.
Lauren Conrad came out too….she was there…for some reason.
Oh wonderful, so now whenever we see Batman on the Bat Bike we’ll all think “stunt double”!
“Embarrassingly, I didn’t get to ride it. There are other motorbikes in the film that I got to burn about on, but not the Bat Pod – it was deemed too dangerous; they needed me in one piece to finish the damn movie.”
He adds: “I’ve asked the producers if I can have a go on it before the premiere, so that I really can ride it before I get asked any more of these questions – you can’t be Batman and not have been on the bloody Bat bike!”
Next question: Christian…how many times will you be shirtless during this movie?
I hope in a small way that The Dark Knight can be a celebration of his work. Not like the hideous circus after he died, which I felt was an invasion of a private life. This movie is not a personal home video. This is what he did. I hope people will embrace that in the correct fashion.
