If you thought her music was sullen before get ready, because now Sarah McLachlan’s getting a divorce from her husband, drummer Ashwin Sood. The worst part about it is they just had their second daughter 14 months ago, named Taja Summer, so it must feel like the end of the world to Sarah.
“I’m separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that,” she told Billboard.com, referring to her two new tunes, “U Want Me 2″ and “Don’t Give Up on Us.”
“I wasn’t planning on saying anything,” McLachlan said of the split, “but it’s gonna come out at some point. I haven’t said anything about it because I’ve been terrified to, but I figure … there’s no good time to say it, so I just said it.” - US Weekly
We’re already crying! Aren’t there some arms of the angels far away from here that we can seek refuge from this endlessness that we fear?
