It’s a long way from the acting skills required for ’127 Hours’ on the silver screen to slumming it on a small screen, daytime, soap series, but James Franco isn’t too good for the grind and less than glamorous gig of a soap scene. He is returning to ABC’s General Hospital as performance artist Franco. I love that he has the same name as his character. He is appearing on the show for a couple episodes airing Feb. 25th and Feb 28th.

I know, I know… reading sucks, but this is totes worth the read. Check out this rather well articulated response from James Franco to Entertainment Weekly on the consistent speculation that he is gay.
“It’s funny because the way that kind of stuff is talked about on blogs is so black-and-white…It’s all cut-and-dry identity politics. ‘Is he straight or is he gay?’ Or, ‘This is your third gay movie — come out already!’ And all based on, gay or straight, based on the idea that your object of affection decides your sexuality…
…There are lots of other reasons to be interested in gay characters than wanting myself to go out and have sex with guys. And there are also lots of other aspects about these characters that I’m interested in, in addition to their sexuality. So, in some ways it’s coincidental, in other ways it’s not. I mean, I’ve played a gay man who’s living in the ’60s and ’70s, a gay man who we depicted in the ‘50s, and one being in the ‘20s. And those were all periods when to be gay, at least being gay in public, was much more difficult. Part of what I’m interested in is how these people who were living anti-normative lifestyles contended with opposition. Or, you know what, maybe I’m just gay.”

Looking like a Gap ad gone porn, James Franco is giving us all sorts of deliciousness on this alternate cover of GQ’s Men of The Year issue. Clean shaven and flashing a set of sex yes at us, he has been named, “Leading Actor of the Year” by the magazine. Did they not have a “Hottest of The Year”?
If you like them a bit older and more scruffy they offer up Jeff Bridges who was awarded “Man of the Year”.
Super funny, Stephen Colbert, was named as “Patriot of the Year”. Love him. Drake was named “Breakout of the Year”
Before we start talking about the kiss, let’s first keep our journalistic integrity by talking about the film. HOWL, was fantastic. Literally, a gay man’s dream. James Franco’s portrayal of American poet Allen Ginsberg is chilling authentic. See it.
Ok, now that we got that out of the way…
Franco’s totes gay in the film (yes, again) but this time it’s even more convincing than the time he played gay in Milk. Or Spider Man.
I won’t ruin it for you, because you should see this film, but Allen Ginsberg finds love with Peter Orlovsky and they give us this one sweet kiss.

Need more reasons to see it? OK how about when he gets a little hot and heavy with a “straight” friend in the movie…

This is James Franco in drag for Candy Magazine. I’ll pause so you can throw up on the floor next to you. I’ve never been so turned off by Franco. He has shattered my fantasy. Him and Terry Richardson have killed James Franco.

What is that on James’ nose in this photo? It’s a penis! Is it just me or do you get the feeling Franco has has a penis on his nose before? I’m just saying…. James male genitals on his nose Franco will premiere his first art show tonight at the Clocktower Gallery in New York City. It has received some very mixed reviews of critics who have had an advance viewing. Seems like a freak’fest of sexual confusion to me… but if I lived in NYC I would already be in line. I love a Franco freak’fest.
… caught a preview of the show which includes a video of Franco wearing a prosthetic penis on his nose and another display with said prosthetic under glass.
The exhibit, entitled “The Dangerous Book Four Boys” incorporates sculpture, photography, drawing, film and video all of which centers on ideas of boyhood and the sexual awakening of the early teenage years.

Looks like man-boy, James Franco will be losing his View virginity. How has this big bowl of yummy never had a group session with the ladies of the View? His innocence will be taken from him from the ladies on June 30th. Mark your calendars stalkers… you’ve got plans now for the 30th!
It looks like we’re going to be getting two times the Franco on the day he makes his return appearance to Port Charles. On Wednesday, June 30th, you can catch James Franco making his first-ever appearance on The View. Then, catch him on General Hospital as murderous artist Franco returns and Jason and Dante have to form an uneasy alliance to take him down.
The ladies of The View will have no shortage of discussion topics with James. In addition to his work on General Hospital, James is appearing in the upcoming films Eat Pray Love with Julia Roberts and the indie drama Howl.
But of highest importance is what James has to say about GH and the wild ride Franco is taking Port Charles on this summer. What kind of dish are you looking forward to from him.
