THE PRINTED STORY:

Jessica trucked down to Mexico City to give the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage, a mini van in a much publicised event. The kids surrounded the car and shouted “Muchas gracias!’ and Jessica hugged them for the cameras while the sun hit her golden hair.

THE TRUTH:

Jessica won the car last year at an awards show for doing nothing but showing up and her father thought it would be great publicity if she gave the mini van away.

Last fall, Simpson won a Chrysler Crossfire sports car at a swag suite at the MTV’s Video Music Awards, but asked Chrysler to exchange it for a minivan so she could help out the orphanage.
A spokesperson for Chrysler confirmed: “Instead of the Chrysler Crossfire, she decided to get a minivan for the orphanage instead. She went for the Chrysler Town & Country
