Not to be outdone by her ex-husband, Jessica Simpson, has announced her engagement to Eric Johnson just after Nick announced his engagement. Seems sorta desperate.

…the singer, 30, became engaged to beau Eric Johnson on Thursday, just days after Us broke the news that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, popped the question to Vanessa Minnillo, his love of nearly five years. Simpson and Lachey, 37, split in 2005, after three years of marriage.

I guess she’ll need to lose all that weight she has gained in time for her wedding… they need a long engagement, real long.

Man purse! Is Nick Lachey pulling off this gaudy but gorgeous, vintage inspired, Gucci, dog carrier (apx: $1,500) as he strolled through the parking lot at LAX last night after his arrival? I’m loving it. Is it too metro for the average pedestrian heterosexual male? Seems to fit just right on the end of Nick’s bulgy arm… much better than Jessica Simpson.

Nick Lachey looks different? What is going on in these photos? Is he less hot or something? I’m confused. He seems bloated. Perhaps he is just retaining water due to a high sodium meal… or some sort of allergic reaction! He recently shaved his head maybe that is why he is looking so peanut M&M head like.

I’m not saying I would he’s not hot… I’m just saying he looks like he might be very constipated. It happens.
