When Alex saw this opening scene of Queen Latifah singing a classic jazz song for the movie “Living Out Loud”, he knew she had entered a whole new era in her career. This was the first time she sang something that wasn’t rap and it certainly grabbed the attention of Hollywood.
You can’t listen to her performance without getting goosebumps and we still to this day, blare this song!
Now years later, she’s stared in two musicals, and even been nominated for an Academy Award.
