For all our lesbian readers your wildest childhood fantasies are coming true. Well…sort of. They are if you ever wanted to see Rosie and Meredith Baxter swallowed up in a sea of lesbians wearing sunglasses and jean shorts. Rosie’s returning to the stand up stage for the loudest, and most lovely lesbionic event of the year THE DINAH, in Palm Springs. You see, beneath the palm trees, where nobody sees is where the lesbians have their picnic.

And that’s not all folks. We’ve also got Family Ties’ Meredith Baxter sharing the laughter and love by modeling her new clothes out of “the closet” in DINAH’s annual fashion show. (She better work on that walk). Other entertainers lined up include Kesha, that girl with the annoying Tik Tok song, and Salt N Pepa’.

Wait a minute…wait a minute…isn’t Salt like really religious right now? I hope her church knows where she is.

Commemorating its landmark 20th Anniversary, The Dinah 2010 will take place March 31 through April 4, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel, The Hyatt Regency and the Palm Springs Convention Center. Despite the current economic climate, ticket sales are up from last year and the Hilton Hotel sold out in record time over the holidays.

We told you things weren’t looking good for our girl Rosie O’Donnell, and her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter’s relationship. Looks like it’s going from suck’y to suck’ier. This is a sad situation. Girls, we are hoping things get easier for you both soon… well, you know how Rosie loves to talk, she did have a talk show… well, we’re not one’s to gossip so from People:

On her Sirius Satellite radio show, O’Donnell suddenly admitted Carpenter had moved out of their home two years ago. The reason for the big reveal? A pressing psychic and a long-haired chihuahua.

“Where did you get her from Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere. And she said she’s happier with you,” pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said of O’Donnell’s dog Misty. “She’s so spoiled and she loves to burrow.”

O’Donnell confirmed: “She does! She burrows in the bed right next to me.”

And, when asked who “sometimes looks after her,” O’Donnell explained her four children all fight over caring for the pup, which she got three days after Carpenter left. “What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog.”

Wait, what was she saying about that long haired chihuahua? Long story short. Kelli’s been gone for years and things are over and done with them.

Rosie O’Donnell has confirmed to USA TODAY/Lifeline Live, that she and partner Kelli Carpenter are having serious issues with their relationship. In an interview at her Nyack, N.Y., compound Tuesday, USA TODAY’s Ann Oldenburg asked if the two had split and Rosie didn’t deny it. O’Donnell had been hinting on her blog about the split for weeks. Rosie answered:

“We’re a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues.”

Media savvy Rosie O’Donnell wouldn’t go into detail about whether Carpenter had moved out of their Nyack home and into their Manhattan address, although that is thought to be the situation.

“We’re a family, we remain a family and we’re working on the issues,” O’Donnell reiterated, noting that there are four children whose well-being comes before anything.”

When Rosie was asked about their children (all under 14 years old) and if they would still raise them together, she began to cry and said:

“They’re adorable and wonderful and they are by far a priority,” O’Donnell said. “Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties,” she said, tears collecting in her eyes. “But everything’s fine and everybody’s good and we’re still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we’re friendly and everything’s all right.”

This is awful news. We have had the opportunity to share some really good times with Rosie and Kelli. They are some fabulous people. Ladies, we are pulling for you.

A: I think it’s important for our readers to know that there are two sides to every celebrity, and Rosie’s a great example. See, there’s TV Rosie, that shoots Kush balls and is wild and fun, and then there’s REAL Rosie who is passionate about politics, an actress who never gets any credit, and the rights of gay parents.

When Rosie came out and married Kelli many Americans were taken back by REAL Rosie because all we knew was her TV self. I myself was guilty of this oversight. When she sent us on her amazing R Family Cruise as a wedding gift to us, I was all geared up to meet the Rosie I’d fallen in love with on TV.

It was only after we met her that I understood the concept I now try to explain to my family. No one is like what you see on TV because we all play a heightened version of ourselves. We didn’t talk about Kush balls at all, in fact we talked about coming off antidepressants, and future help with adoption.

Her new movie America, which premieres on Lifetime Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 p.m., comes as no surprise to me since it documents her passion for foster children and adoption in this country.

“‘America’…is about the struggle that an estimated half million kids in this country face, languishing in the foster care system. It took six years to get made because a movie about foster care isn’t high on the priority list”
“The movie is very close to my heart because I was a foster parent in Florida—until this November, gay people weren’t allowed to adopt there. And I identify with America because after my mom died, I was an abused child.”

On her character, Dr. B (America’s therapist at a treatment facility for foster kids):

· “I had a person like Dr. B in my life…a teacher named Pat Marvel. She took me into her home and became like a mother to me after I ran away. She totally saved me.”-TV Guide

You know Rosie now gets a lot of negative press for being so outspoken, or the haters could call it her “big mouth”, but I think underneath it all are the good intentions of a woman who is choosing later in life to become REAL with her TV audience.

Come on give Rosie a break! NBC did put her new revival of the variety show on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving when everyone was leaving, landing, or lazily catching up with their families.

Terrible timing equaled only 5 million viewers, but the show was packed with performances like Kathy Griffin impersonating Nancy Grace, Alec Baldwin hitting Conan O’Brian with a pie, and O’Donnell singing “City Lights” with Liza Minnelli.

Other networks like FOX, were all waiting in the wings to rip it off if it was a success or tear it down if it wasn’t.

“There’s a notion that the climate is right for the genre to make a comeback,” emailed one executive at a rival network. “I guess we now know what not to do, thanks to Rosie.”-SOURCE

So now all the EP’s can skip around Hollywood saying Rosie was wrong when really she was the only one that had the balls to try. Cowards. What will happen to the other six episodes lined up for the series?

Rosie is one celebrity waiting out the wedding rush….

O’Donnell told AP Radio that she and Carpenter are “going to wait until it’s legal everywhere, because otherwise, I said to Kelli, we’ll be going around touring the country on the marriage tour every state by state.”

“Once it gets to be at the federal level, once every state recognizes the marriages of every other state, I think that’ll be the time we would do it,” the 46-year-old comedian said.

Asked if she thought that time was near, O’Donnell replied, “Yes.”
