See, there’s TV Rosie, that shoots Kush balls and is wild and fun, and then there’s REAL Rosie who is passionate about politics, an actress who never gets any credit, and the rights of gay parents.
When Rosie came out and married Kelli many Americans were taken back by REAL Rosie because all we knew was her TV self. I myself was guilty of this oversight. When she sent us on her amazing R Family Cruise as a wedding gift to us, I was all geared up to meet the Rosie I’d fallen in love with on TV.
It was only after we met her that I understood the concept I now try to explain to my family. No one is like what you see on TV because we all play a heightened version of ourselves. We didn’t talk about Kush balls at all, in fact we talked about coming off antidepressants, and future help with adoption.
Her new movie America, which premieres on Lifetime Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 p.m., comes as no surprise to me since it documents her passion for foster children and adoption in this country.

“The movie is very close to my heart because I was a foster parent in Florida—until this November, gay people weren’t allowed to adopt there. And I identify with America because after my mom died, I was an abused child.”
On her character, Dr. B (America’s therapist at a treatment facility for foster kids):

You know Rosie now gets a lot of negative press for being so outspoken, or the haters could call it her “big mouth”, but I think underneath it all are the good intentions of a woman who is choosing later in life to become REAL with her TV audience.
Come on give Rosie a break! NBC did put her new revival of the variety show on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving when everyone was leaving, landing, or lazily catching up with their families.
Terrible timing equaled only 5 million viewers, but the show was packed with performances like Kathy Griffin impersonating Nancy Grace, Alec Baldwin hitting Conan O’Brian with a pie, and O’Donnell singing “City Lights” with Liza Minnelli.
Other networks like FOX, were all waiting in the wings to rip it off if it was a success or tear it down if it wasn’t.
“There’s a notion that the climate is right for the genre to make a comeback,” emailed one executive at a rival network. “I guess we now know what not to do, thanks to Rosie.”-SOURCE
So now all the EP’s can skip around Hollywood saying Rosie was wrong when really she was the only one that had the balls to try. Cowards. What will happen to the other six episodes lined up for the series?

Rosie is one celebrity waiting out the wedding rush….
O’Donnell told AP Radio that she and Carpenter are “going to wait until it’s legal everywhere, because otherwise, I said to Kelli, we’ll be going around touring the country on the marriage tour every state by state.”
“Once it gets to be at the federal level, once every state recognizes the marriages of every other state, I think that’ll be the time we would do it,” the 46-year-old comedian said.
Asked if she thought that time was near, O’Donnell replied, “Yes.”
Rosie has had it with this so called “photo scandal” with our girl Miley Cyrus, and had this to say on her video blog:
“Leave Miley Cyrus alone,” O’Donnell says in a video posted Monday night. “Disney [is] making her apologize. Ay yi yi.”
“Listen, Annie Leibovitz I had two photo shoots with her,” O’Donnell says. “You kind of do what she says. It’s intimidating. I also didn’t think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was sort of a beautiful portrait.

Tila Tequila [VH1s A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila]: I think its hot. When I was 15, I was doing the same thing except I bared it all.Shes just showing her back. Shes growing up. I dont think shes doing anything harmful. If the media keeps pushing her, pressuring her, she might end up messed up. But right now, I think everyone should just let her have fun. Shes not doing anything scandalous. I think shes hot!
Emmy Rossum: I think shes a role model for kids, but I think she looks beautiful.
Jamie Lee Curtis: She is a young girl. She shouldnt have to deal with any of this. I dont feel that she was duped. I know the integrity of Ms. Liebovitz and the magazine and I know there were people present at the shoot that should have been looking out to make sure that this didnt happen.
Bill OReilly: [Billy Ray Cyrus] puts her into a situation where she becomes, at 15, a sex symbol. Middle America they dont like this. Miley is a nice girl, she made a bad decision.
She should do Oprah and say, We made a mistake, heres why and it wont happen again.
Bonnie Fuller [Star Magazine editor]: Is it OK to sexualize a fifteen-year-old if it is in the pages of a high falutin magazine and her parents seem OK with it? Or is this really not much different from parents in a cult acquiescing to having their teen daughters wedded and bedded?
OH MY GOD! Bonnie it’s very different only you would compare the two!!
Say what you will about our Rosie, but no one can deny that she’s a generous person with a big heart. Unlike some other people, E-LI-ZA-BETH!
Rosie sent her famous feuding friend a baby shower gift and the now the two are on speaking terms again.
“I sent something for him and something for his big sister [Grace, 2],” said O’Donnell. “Because, as the mother of four, I know that when the newborn arrives, the most important thing is a sibling gift. For [Taylor], it was a lot of clothes, because babies spit up a lot. I go to Baby Gap. There is a standard newborn gift pack as much as you can buy at the Gap without being arrested. And a learning gift, a soft shape sorter. And then for [Grace] who is older, I got a tea set that she loves.”
O’Donnell says that Hasselbeck herself has bounced back after giving birth and they’ve stayed in touch. “We e-mail back and forth,” she said. “She seems good. She looks like she adopted, like she didn’t give birth. She looks perfectly fit and gorgeous already.”
Rosie may have a bad wrap for being outspoken and abbrassive, but she doesn’t hold onto a grudge. She’s smart enough to be the one to forgive first and show she’s the more comapsionate one. Rosie called a boutique in LA and dropped some serious dough on gifts for Elizabeth’s new baby. Rosie is just a giving person, we know first hand, but this could be the perfect way to politely say,”Ha ha, I forgave you first.”
Now Elizabeth looks worse. Love it.
According to a source, Rosie dropped almost $600 at L.A. baby boutique Petit Trsor on Oct. 25 on gifts for Elisabeth, who is expecting her second child. Rosies assistant called the store and ordered a $290 Lulla Smith white silk Moses basket and a $285 christening gown for the baby. She asked for the gifts to be wrapped up and sent them to Elizabeths new address in Arizona.

Get those claws ready girls! It gets really good about two minutes in. Totally worth watching. It gets way crazy the last few minutes…crazy.
