A: How mortifying for Miley! First she breaks up with her Bible thumper boyfriend, Justin Gaston on Sunday and then only nine guys showed up for Wednesday’s OPEN casting call. Miley’s new movie The Last Song, was looking for 18 to 20-year-old males who could both Hacky Sack and juggle. Miley can count me as a fan, I don’t care if Lynn laughs at me when I watch Hannah Montana, but is she losing her pull with the pre-teens?
The casting director was back pedaling and had this to say:
“I’m not surprised because I’ve done a lot of open calls and this is so specific,” said Burch. “One guy was great but he will miss out because of his age.”
Burch says most roles have been cast but there is hope for the thousands who have contacted her.
“I answered more than 2,000 emails of people from Savannah,” said Burch. “I just treated them like that. We wanted to give an opportunity but more were extras than actors, so I shifted them to the extras casting.”
