No…that’s not a 50 year old black soul singer you’re hearing, it’s a kind of hot white British guy.
Paolo Nutini’s made the swim across the pond but never really stuck. Enter their sophomore album Sunny Side Up, and all that is about to change. They didn’t really understand which part of lead singer’s raspy vocals we wanted until releasing their first album and seeing what sold.
Now Sunny Side Up blends some reggae beats, some vintage 50′s cries, and a whole lotta brass into an album worth clapping for. With a voice that takes me back to my childhood when my mom would listen to the one record she owned, Harry Belafonte. Well his voice is more like a Frankenstein monster of Harry Belafonte, meets Paul Simon, meets some Bob Marley. Take a listen.

Thanks for posting that guys! His music is soooo juicy! My fav!
